Abstract:Autonomous computer use agents that powered by multimodal large language models (MLLMs) are emerging as capable assistants for completing complex digital workflows. However, real-world execution environments are far from ideal: pop-ups, resolution changes, and competing applications frequently interfere with agent perception and control. We introduce AgentHijack, a benchmark designed to evaluate the robustness of computer-use agents under common corruptions, where the uncertainties in dynamic environment disrupt the execution flow without direct adversarial intent. Specifically, AgentHijack introduces 9 configurable common corruptions to replicate realistic imperfect scenarios. We evaluate a variety of desktop tasks that utilize MLLM-based agents and discover that even minor instances of corruption can result in substantial performance degradation, which emphasizes the fragility of agents and underscores the necessity of robustness evaluation. Afterward, we propose AgentHijack-Agent, a framework that integrates an action generator with enhanced grounding capabilities and an onlooker responsible for behavior summarization and environment checking. Abstract:To enable reliable long-term interaction, LLM agents require a memory system that can faithfully store, efficiently retrieve, and deeply reason over accumulated dialogue history. Most existing methods adopt an extracted fact based paradigm: handcrafted static prompts compress raw dialogues into atomic facts, which are then stored, matched, and injected into downstream reasoning. Nevertheless, such fact-centric designs inevitably discard fine-grained details in original dialogues and fail to support deep reasoning over scattered isolated facts. Moreover, static prompts cannot maintain consistent extraction granularity across diverse dialogue styles. To address these limitations, we propose TriMem, which maintains three coexisting representation granularities, including raw dialogue segments anchored by source identifiers for storage fidelity, extracted atomic facts for efficient memory retrieval, synthesized profiles that aggregate dispersed facts into holistic semantic understanding for deep reasoning. We further adopt TextGrad-based prompt optimization, which iteratively refines extraction and profiling prompts via response quality feedback, achieving lifelong evolution without any parameter updating. Extensive experiments on LoCoMo and PerLTQA across multiple LLM backbones demonstrate that TriMem consistently outperforms strong memory baselines. Abstract:LLM-based autonomous agents have demonstrated strong capabilities in reasoning, planning, and tool use, yet remain limited when tasks require sustained coordination across roles, tools, and environments. Multi-agent systems address this through structured collaboration among specialized agents, but tighter coordination also amplifies a less explored risk: errors can propagate across agents and interaction rounds, producing failures that are difficult to diagnose and rarely translate into structural self-improvement. Existing surveys cover individual agent capabilities, multi-agent collaboration, or agent self-evolution separately, leaving the causal dependencies among them unexamined. This survey provides a unified review organized around four causally linked stages, which we term the LIFE progression: Lay the capability foundation, Integrate agents through collaboration, Find faults through attribution, and Evolve through autonomous self-improvement. For each stage, we provide systematic taxonomies and formally characterize the dependencies between adjacent stages, revealing how each stage both depends on and constrains the next. Beyond synthesizing existing work, we identify open challenges at stage boundaries and propose a cross-stage research agenda for closed-loop multi-agent systems capable of continuously diagnosing failures, reorganizing structures, and refining agent behaviors, extending current coordination frameworks toward more self-organizing forms of collective intelligence. By bridging these previously fragmented research threads, this survey aims to offer both a systematic reference and a conceptual roadmap toward autonomous, self-improving multi-agent intelligence.
Abstract:LiDAR scene generation is increasingly important for scalable simulation and synthetic data creation, especially under diverse sensing conditions that are costly to capture at scale. Typically, diffusion-based LiDAR generators are developed under single-domain settings, requiring separate models for different datasets or sensing conditions and hindering unified, controllable synthesis under heterogeneous distribution shifts. To this end, we present OmniLiDAR, a unified text-conditioned diffusion framework that generates LiDAR scans in a shared range-image representation across eight representative domains spanning three shift types: adverse weather, sensor-configuration changes (e.g., reduced beams), and cross-platform acquisition (vehicle, drone, and quadruped). To enable training a single model over heterogeneous domains without isolating optimization by domain, we introduce a Cross-Domain Training Strategy (CDTS) that mixes domains within each mini-batch and leverages conditioning to steer generation. We further propose Cross-Domain Feature Modeling (CDFM), which captures directional dependencies along azimuth and elevation axes to reflect the anisotropic scanning structure of range images, and Domain-Adaptive Feature Scaling (DAFS) as a lightweight modulation to account for structured domain-dependent feature shifts during denoising. In the absence of a public consolidated benchmark, we construct an 8-domain dataset by combining real-world scans with physically based weather simulation and systematic beam reduction while following official splits. Extensive experiments demonstrate strong generation fidelity and consistent gains in downstream use cases, including generative data augmentation for LiDAR semantic segmentation and 3D object detection, as well as robustness evaluation under corruptions, with consistent benefits in limited-label regimes.
Abstract:Flow matching has emerged as a powerful generative framework, with recent few-step methods achieving remarkable inference acceleration. However, we identify a critical yet overlooked limitation: these models suffer from severe diversity degradation, concentrating samples on dominant modes while neglecting rare but valid variations of the target distribution. We trace this degradation to averaging distortion: when trained with MSE objectives, class-conditional flows learn a frequency-weighted mean over intra-class sub-modes, causing the model to over-represent high-density modes while systematically neglecting low-density ones. To address this, we propose SubFlow, Sub-mode Conditioned Flow Matching, which eliminates averaging distortion by decomposing each class into fine-grained sub-modes via semantic clustering and conditioning the flow on sub-mode indices. Each conditioned sub-distribution is approximately unimodal, so the learned flow accurately targets individual modes with no averaging distortion, restoring full mode coverage in a single inference step. Crucially, SubFlow is entirely plug-and-play: it integrates seamlessly into existing one-step models such as MeanFlow and Shortcut Models without any architectural modifications. Extensive experiments on ImageNet-256 demonstrate that SubFlow yields substantial gains in generation diversity (Recall) while maintaining competitive image quality (FID), confirming its broad applicability across different one-step generation frameworks. Abstract:Dataset distillation compresses large-scale datasets into compact synthetic sets while preserving training performance, but existing methods are largely restricted to single-modal or bimodal settings. Extending dataset distillation to scenarios involving more than two modalities, i.e., Omnimodal Dataset Distillation, remains underexplored and challenging due to increased heterogeneity and complex cross-modal interactions. In this work, we identify the key determinant that bounds the endpoint discrepancy in the omnimodal setting, which is exacerbated with an increasing number of modalities. To this end, we propose HoPA, a unified method that captures high-order cross-modal alignments via a compact proxy, which is compatible with trajectory matching as well. By abstracting omnimodal alignment with a shared similarity structure, our method avoids the combinatorial complexity of pairwise modality modeling and enables scalable joint distillation across heterogeneous modalities. Theoretical analysis from the spectral perspective reveals the rationality of our proposed method against bimodal dataset distillation techniques. Extensive experiments on various benchmarks demonstrate that the proposed method achieves superior compression-performance trade-offs compared to existing competitors. Abstract:Multimodal pretrained models are vulnerable to backdoor attacks, yet most existing methods rely on visual or multimodal triggers, which are impractical since visually embedded triggers rarely occur in real-world data. To overcome this limitation, we propose a novel Text-Guided Backdoor (TGB) attack on multimodal pretrained models, where commonly occurring words in textual descriptions serve as backdoor triggers, significantly improving stealthiness and practicality. Furthermore, we introduce visual adversarial perturbations on poisoned samples to modulate the model's learning of textual triggers, enabling a controllable and adjustable TGB attack. Extensive experiments on downstream tasks built upon multimodal pretrained models, including Composed Image Retrieval (CIR) and Visual Question Answering (VQA), demonstrate that TGB achieves practicality and stealthiness with adjustable attack success rates across diverse realistic settings, revealing critical security vulnerabilities in multimodal pretrained models.
Abstract:Composed Image Retrieval (CIR) task aims to retrieve target images based on reference images and modification texts. Current CIR methods primarily rely on fine-tuning vision-language pre-trained models. However, we find that these approaches commonly suffer from severe overfitting, posing challenges for CIR with limited triplet data. To better understand this issue, we present a systematic study of overfitting in VLP-based CIR, revealing a significant and previously overlooked generalization gap across different models and datasets. Motivated by these findings, we introduce WRF4CIR, a Weight-Regularized Fine-tuning network for CIR. Specifically, during the fine-tuning process, we apply adversarial perturbations to the model weights for regularization, where these perturbations are generated in the opposite direction of gradient descent. Intuitively, WRF4CIR increases the difficulty of fitting the training data, which helps mitigate overfitting in CIR under limited triplet supervision. Extensive experiments on benchmark datasets demonstrate that WRF4CIR significantly narrows the generalization gap and achieves substantial improvements over existing methods.
Abstract:Recent large-scale generative models enable high-quality 3D synthesis. However, the public accessibility of pre-trained weights introduces a critical vulnerability. Adversaries can fine-tune these models to steal specialized knowledge acquired during pre-training, leading to intellectual property infringement. Unlike defenses for 2D images and language models, 3D generators require specialized protection due to their explicit Gaussian representations, which expose fundamental structural parameters directly to gradient-based optimization. We propose GaussLock, the first approach designed to defend 3D generative models against fine-tuning attacks. GaussLock is a lightweight parameter-space immunization framework that integrates authorized distillation with attribute-aware trap losses targeting position, scale, rotation, opacity, and color. Specifically, these traps systematically collapse spatial distributions, distort geometric shapes, align rotational axes, and suppress primitive visibility to fundamentally destroy structural integrity. By jointly optimizing these dual objectives, the distillation process preserves fidelity on authorized tasks while the embedded traps actively disrupt unauthorized reconstructions. Experiments on large-scale Gaussian models demonstrate that GaussLock effectively neutralizes unauthorized fine-tuning attacks. It substantially degrades the quality of unauthorized reconstructions, evidenced by significantly higher LPIPS and lower PSNR, while effectively maintaining performance on authorized fine-tuning.
Abstract:3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) enables high-fidelity reconstruction of scene geometry and appearance. Building on this capability, inserting external mesh objects into reconstructed 3DGS scenes enables interactive editing and content augmentation for immersive applications such as AR/VR, virtual staging, and digital content creation. However, achieving physically consistent lighting and shadows for mesh insertion remains challenging, as it requires accurate scene illumination estimation and multi-view consistent rendering. To address this challenge, we present LightHarmony3D, a novel framework for illumination-consistent mesh insertion in 3DGS scenes. Central to our approach is our proposed generative module that predicts a full 360° HDR environment map at the insertion location via a single forward pass. By leveraging generative priors instead of iterative optimization, our method efficiently captures dominant scene illumination and enables physically grounded shading and shadows for inserted meshes while maintaining multi-view coherence. Furthermore, we introduce the first dedicated benchmark for mesh insertion in 3DGS, providing a standardized evaluation framework for assessing lighting consistency and photorealism. Extensive experiments across multiple real-world reconstruction datasets demonstrate that LightHarmony3D achieves state-of-the-art realism and multi-view consistency.
